Cliff arrives for his
60-day-max stint with us, but almost immediately departs again as his mother and Toby are moving out of their San Anselmo house today, and have last-minute arrangements pending.
Before this,
head out for errands and
astoundingly, inadvertently leave the Egypt / Luxor / Las Vegas coffee mug given to me by Cliff many years ago, emblazoned with "I Love My Dad" on one side, on the roof of the car, which survives intact until a brisk turn from I-80 offramp to Mason / Elmira south. While had been hearing strange vibrating noises from car, which were perceived as perhaps a seatbelt caught on the door outside, now unmistakeably a motion, including liquid, and a small crash on the pavement, and, well, the inevitable realization... Relating the story to Cliff and Harriet, he nicely concludes "Now you don't need the I Love Dad mug since I'm right here to love you"!

There's time to linger in the backyard with Harriet,
and take the 56th walk on the Vacaville Streets route,

then reverse course

this being also the

Duke Ellington (1899-1974).
There's also time to partially update the complete Works site re

Hello, DCC! The Presbyterian Church has been an interrupted through-line of my life -- Chambers Memorial, Rutledge, PA (1957-1975), Swarthmore (graduating adjacent College, 1979), Panorama (Los Angeles, 1983, meeting female fellow-oboist), San Rafael and Tiburon (bass / Music Minister, 1986-1999, son Cliff baptised in former, 1987, receiving M.A. Composition and Ph.D. Musicology, Dominican / Claremont Graduate Universities during this time), Vacaville (tenor / Substitute Music Director, 2002-2003). Recently retired after 20 years at Diablo Valley College (Conductor / Music History / Theory Adjunct Professor), I continue as Music Director (Goat Hall Productions / SF Cabaret Opera, with wife / mezzo-soprano / Artistic Director Harriet March Page; SF Composers Chamber Orchestra, Opus Project) and composer (397 works to date, many Biblical).
